Oracle VirtualBox

VirtualBox's network driver implementation is currently incompatible with XFRM in that guests crash because I/O operations with VirtualBox do not return the verbatim data they should. The data that VirtualBox passes between other applications, the kernel, and the guest is corrupted in transit.
Possible workarounds to the problem is to either not use XFRM but libipsec, if possible, or to not use VirtualBox.

The fault with this lies with VirtualBox. It can not be fixed in any other component than VirtualBox.
