Description

Hi,

I installed strongSwan v5.7.2 (--enable-integrity-test --enable-test-vectors)
I am using strongSwan Testing Environment.
I ran all the tests and 364 strongSwan KVM Tests failed. (./do-tests) (See testresult_part.tar.xz)

For example:

1.ikev1/alg-sha256 test
Errors:

parsed INFORMATIONAL_V1 request 2889844554 [ HASH N(AUTH_FAILED) ]
received AUTHENTICATION_FAILED error notify
establishing connection 'home' failed

2. af-alg/alg-camellia test
Error:

[ENC] parsed IKE_AUTH response 1 [ N(AUTH_FAILED) ]
[IKE] received AUTHENTICATION_FAILED notify error

It is important to note that I had no problems to use the strongSwan v5.8.4 Testing Environment, all test passed.

The difference in installing (./make-testing) the strongSwan testing environment between the two versions is that I was asked to configure the kernel in v 5.7.2 (see the attached "kernel questions" file)

Why do most strongSwan KVM tests fail?
What are I doing wrong?

Thanks

Why do most strongSwan KVM tests fail?

Because the certificates contained in the 5.7.2 tarball have long since expired (since 5.8.0 they can be generated on demand).
